Walt,

It seems to be theoretically used by IBM, but...
I can not find any reference to the symbols
F_MAP_XPFFD and STX_XPFFD_PASE in iseries functions
fcntl / fstatx.
Please, if you can, give me a pointer to an example of
delivering
a file descriptor from ILE C to PASE C, or to any
document which
has those operations in fcntl / fstatx functions. I
didn't find it.

Regards,

Zvi

Is it available to use takedescriptor(), or
something which
performs the same, from ILE to PASE ?

There are some extensions to i5/OS PASE API's that
may help you. Check
out the F_MAP_XPFFD option on fcntl() and
STX_XPFFD_PASE option on
fstatx()

And also this section from the i5/OS PASE portion of
the Information
Center may be useful:

Hope this helps. Good luck!
