I use Zebra Barcode Printers, they can be parallel, ethernet or wireless.
We use Zebra ZPL imbedded in the output file. We have access to the RPG
source and can incorporate the ZPL code into programs. The TL Ashford
Barcode400 product helps you build the code for the printer.

Graham,
In order to print to an Intermec printer from an AS/400 outq, you will
need software such as TL Ashford Barcode400 or Seagull's Bartender.

Kind of outside my circle but we print labels from Infor on our IBM i to
specialized printers.
I hate to comment because I may not be the most current on this as I
believe I've heard of some changes coming from others in the department
who deal with this and I don't have the details.
