Many people have consolidated email addresses. For example, I have five
or six email addresses that all get routed to one mail box. However if I
reply to any of them the replies are all generated from one account.
Or, perhaps you are using a tool that allows you to browse multiple email
accounts from one app.
Maybe you subscribed to this list using a personal account but your reader
sends from your work account. Or, perhaps you set up a dummy account and
were afraid of spam so you subscribed as
testToSeeIfThisListGeneratesSpam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx but whenever you reply it
comes from your 'real' account.
If so, your email may get rejected. The list considers that reply as
coming from a non subscriber and rejects email from people who are not
subscribed to the list.
You may wish to subscribe with your 'real' address.
Sometimes, if I'm in the mood, I will take the time to try to match this
up. For example, if I get an email from steve.martin@xxxxxxx and I see
that I have a Steve Martin at imaketractors.com I will still reject the
email but personalize it to say something like 'perhaps you should send it
from your steve.martin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx account.
It's hard to help you if you never put a first and last name to ease the
search. You may wish to do so at

It's hard to decide which, of all the "steve@...", should be sending that
email.
You don't have to, it's totally up to you.
