As Yan suggested, took at the record I/O counts in the running job.
There will be at least one file that has extremely large access counts
(but since this has been running for days, I'm afraid these I/O counts
have likely overflowed). Hit the update key numerous times noting the
Relative Record Numbers (RRN). Eventually you will notice a pattern.
Take a look at the physical files themselves and check the record data
at these RRNs. You should be able to logically deduce from there where
your problem lies.
As an example, I used to have a cost roll job that would loop.
Following the procedure I mention above, I discovered that for some
reason there were duplicate MBML01 key values. I deleted the duplicate
data as necessary and the job was able to finish.
