Dick...

One practical consideration for us that has little to do with BPCS... Your
first day after year end is no longer a holiday, it is now a working day
potentially in the middle of a week. You will need to work with your
business team to figure out how to run a daily process, month end
process, and then the year-end processes, many of which require people to
stay off the system so that you can have stable file values, while
minimizing the impact of extended downtime.

You'll also need to continue to run some processes at calendar year end...
I'm thinking of 1099's (assuming you're in the USA) and Vendor YTD resets.

You've probably already thought of all that, but just in case...

Regards,
Phil Catlin

[BPCS-L] Fiscal Year Change in BPCS

On 3/31/2014 our company will change from a calendar year fiscal year to a
fiscal year ending 3/31. We have time to prepare and want to anticipate
what needs to be done.

For those who have done something similar, what do we need to anticipate
that we wouldn't necessarily think of? Did anything catch you by
surprise?
