Hi Larenzo ...

Sorry to hear you're stuck on a frustrating chore on a Sunday.

Doug's note is correct .... but it's more complicated than that. For an
explanation, read the second page of this .pdf:
<http://www.unbeatenpath.com/software/bio/vanilla.pdf>
www.unbeatenpath.com/software/bio/vanilla.pdf.
Here's my net assessment of vanilla BPCS/ERP LX functionality:

"SECURITY BY OBSCURITY"

By Invitation Only software makes the security maintenance job easy. An
update of this "Bells & Whistles for BPCS" product just became available for
8.3.x versions. The update adds even more functionality that's never been
available in vanilla BPCS/ERP LX:

Do you have any other objects named SFC062** that they are authorized to?

BPCS only uses the first 6 characters of the object name when checking
authority, so if they have access to SFC0621D (for example) then they will
have access to SFC0620D also.

Subject: [BPCS-L] BPCS Security Menu Authorization

Hello All,

I'm trying to remove authorization from two users for 1 particular object.
The object is SFC0620D, which is a customized program that we created years
ago. The object is set up correctly in the BPCS Security Object
Master(Library type = O, ship object = O, Product Owning Object = SFC, Menu
Object = 1). And in the user profile security settings, the BPCS product code
SFC is set to 0 (not authorized). And the program is not on the object
program list. But the option is still showing as available on the menu and
allows the user to access it which we are trying to prevent. I've deleted it
from the BPCS object master and re added but no luck. I haven't tried
recompiling the object yet, that will be my last resort.

Does any one have any ideas what I may be missing?
