The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

When we need to add fields to a BPCS file, we create an extension file.
In our case this was IIMX. The key is the same as the IIM, and we added
a call to INV100 to maintain the extension record. Although this is more
work to set up than just reusing fields, we have found that this method
avoids the problems that come from reusing BPCS fields.

Subject: [BPCS-L] IIM fields
Dear members,
we are on ERP-LX (8.3) and also in some subsidiaries still on 6.04 and
we
need to use 5 fields from the IIM, but we need to establish if they are
referenced elsewhere in BPCS or just the IIM.
IMMFGR
IMPRM
IMABRV
IMBRGC
IPACK
We need to store some data which is needed for the internal use in our
company and maybe someone can help me to figure out where they are
maintained. It is planned to maintain these fields in an add on program
but
we also have to make sure that we can train the users not to change
these
fields within the standard BPCS screens.
Any help is very, very welcome.
Thanks in advance
Thomas
