What web service are you connecting to for your currency information? Is it something you have to pay for?

The website is specified in the example18 program source, it's Webservicex.net . It's free to use and they also have a lot of other conversion services to offer such as conversion rates for units of measure and the like.

After you run the install program to set up all of the necessary objects, you can run the example18 program as is and it will display to your screen the data returned: call example18 ('USD' 'EUR' 100.00)
