Interested in a good mystery?

I am investigating a problem for a client who has experienced an
intermittent situation where Shop Floor Posting (SFC650) Transactions are
not properly completing the Material Backflush. For these situations, the
Labor Tickets (FLT) records involved have a pair of duplicate Labor Ticket
Numbers. That is, there is one record that is Active (TID='LT') and one
record that is Inactive/Deleted (TID='LZ'). Both have the identical TREC
Labor Ticket Number.

This situation occurs with a batch of FLT records. That is, while the
Creation Time will vary, the Last Maint Date and Time are identical for all
of the involved records. That is, they were processed together.

Other conditions that I have identified are:

For these pairs of FLT records:

. For the active, duplicate FLT Labor Transactions, the field LTORDT
has the value of 'SB'. The field TFWSID has Blanks.

. For the inactive/deleted, duplicate FLT record, the field LTORDT
has the value of 'WS'. The field TFWSID has the UserID of the person who
entered the Transaction.

. The Time Created for the active record is always after the Time
Created for the inactive, duplicate FLT Record.

. The Last Program Maintained field LTMNPG is SFC651B for all
inactive FLT records. For the active record in the pair, most values are
also SFC651B, but there are a few with SFC650D2.

. All other fields in the FLT record are identical.

I also observed that in situations where the Labor Ticket was posted to a
Collectible FOD Operation and should have generated a Labor Backflush FLT
record for a prior non-Collectible Operation, the FLT Record for the prior,
non-Collectible Operation is not created.

Looking at the FOD Qty Completed, they are not double posted.

It appears that when there is such a duplicate pair of FLT records, the
associated CI Component Issue Transaction does not get created.

Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated. I am conducting tests
now.

Thanks.
