Only DFU is giving me problems. I can not view, insert or update data from there.

The CCSID for the user can [& possibly should] be set; i.e. only users using CCSID(*SYSVAL) will take the new setting. As I recall, a physical file with a G CCSID(13488) field can have a DDS logical file created over it, mapping the field\column to A CCSID(37) [or another non-HEX CCSID].
