mark, sean,
I already changed sysval QCCSID(37). The jobs now run with CCSID(37).
Via SQL I can view, insert and update the data in a readable way.
Only DFU is giving me problems. I can not view, insert or update data from
there.
When I enter a record via DFU into ZCC and try to read the data via SQL
all the records are readeable except the one entered via DFU
regards,
Peter

Peter,
One quick way to view the data is to be sure your green screen interactive
job has a valid CCSID other than 65535. Try doing a CHGJOB CCSID(37)
before running interactive SQL or DFU. That may resolve the corrupted
display of the unicode data.

Subject: [BPCS-L] ERPLX 8.3.3 - Unreadable characters in some files
because of TYPE GRAPHIC - CCSID 13488
Hello,
We have installed ERPLX 8.3.3 LX for testing.
Some field types are changed to Type GRAPHIC, with CCSID code 13488. For
example in the general code file ZCC.
The data in the ERPLX applications is maintainable (SYS105) SQL queries
resulted in unreadable characters. This was solved by changing our system
value QCCSID from 65535 to 37 (I am able to do this because we run this
test environment on a dedicated
partition)
When I try to use DFU (UPDDTA) to retrieve and update the data in the
file, I receive error messages "The retrieved record contains invalid
data."
Also when I insert new data it is unreadable when I try to retrieve it via
SQL or RUNQRY.
It must be an OS400 setup issue in combination with these ERPLX files Have
anyone encountered these kind of problems before since version 8.3.x ?
Best regards,
Peter Heeren
