Bom: Finished Good child of a Finished Good

BPCS 8.2.1 Facility Specific Costing, we use DRP...As facilities
continue to consolidate... I have some parts from a sister company (not
currently on our system) The part will be now manufactured at two sites
instead of at one. Base element at Fac X, Main Asy at Fac Y, then
Repacked/Bracket added at Fac X for shipping to Customer. Customer Order
to Fax X, they place DRP order to Fac Y, Fac Y places DRP order to Fac
X. Here's my problem. The Asy out of Fac Y is really a finished part -
it could be sold to the customer - but for factors out of my hands -
will be shipping to Fac X in compact returnable dunnage, where Fac X
will either repack and ship to customer or add a bracket and ship to
customer.

At least in BPCS logic the part coming out of Fac Y that is not in final
packaging would be a Subasy - not a final part, since it is not in it's
final packaging. But it really could be sold. Two problems - I don't
really want to make it Wip (which is what we lump stocking level subasy
into), but I also - I need a shop order at the final Fac to consume
either the packaging or the bracket and packaging. Should a Final Asy
really be a child of another Final Asy? We'll have DRP Shop Order at
Fac X for element asy. Another at Fac Y for the Asy, then another at
Fac X for the final shippable parts.
