There is another option I used in my previous company. We did not use CIMPATH but used a call a program whenever the barcode printing was required say from SFC520 etc. This customised program on the AS/400 written in RPG used to write a spool file with Printer control ASCII characters along with the Item Number,Lot number etc . From the AS/400/Iseries it used to be directly printed on an IBM Zebra printer. I used it for EAN 128 and other vendor specific BArcode formats. The only thing needs to be known is the Printer control characters from the Printer manual.
