That is great news Ric on your experience with ERP Lx. I completed an Lx implementation last fall with ERP Lx FP1 with a company using most of the modules from OLM to CEA. We also experienced good results with the quality of the software. Our implementation was completed in four months and in the process we eliminated the requirements for modifications present in their 4.5 CD version. We added warehouses taking advantage of the new field size. We used the Infor conversion program and it converted the data successfully and processed in a very reasonable amount of time. I agree with your recommendation of upgrading to 8.3.1 vs 8.2. Mike Laux PHOENIX Business Consulting, Inc. www.phoenixbcinc.com 336-210-8571 --- misterbpcs@xxxxxxx wrote:
I have just finished up with an ERPLX (8.3.1) Implementation that had 66 factories making a mixed myriad of products. It was a big job, but it went well. We also changed their warehouse designations from 2 characters to three, and restructured their functionality. We changed their item classes completely, re-aligned their warehouse locations, and give them a whole new set of tools to do their job better. This implementation took about seven months. In my 19 years working with BPCS in many different environments, this was one of the smoothest upgrades I have ever been involved with. ERPLX runs very well. It is better to manage than all of the versions back to 405CD. It was rewritten in RPG and is much more manageable. For those of you considering it as opposed to 8.2, you would be best going to 8.3.1. It is by far the best yet. Ric Weide MisterBPCS@xxxxxxx rcweide@xxxxxxx
