Two additional points on Master scheduled items. 1) They are the basis for rough-cut capacity, that is they are the only ones populated with a bill of resources. 2) If you have MPS at the top and bottom of your structure with MRP items in between - you have to run MPS then MRP then MPS a second time to pick up the requirements for the bottom level items.
