We setup a new warehouse one time and somebody did not want to key in all the
new warehouse locations by hand. So they created a program to create the 300
locations. The problem was they did not populate the Location Usage Flag field
and left it blank. That caused us not to be able to auto allocate.

Make sure no one set the forced flag on one of your locations to '0'. If so,
BPCS will not consider any other wh/loc.

Tom,

Are you on Lot control for the goods?
If yes, check the lot status / expiry date if applicable for
shipment.

INV300 Inquiry is OK for availability?

Thanks

Davide

Davide,

It is set to "Y". I have compared the ILM, IWM and ZMF
records for the Location, Warehouse and Facility that won't
auto-allocate with ones that will and the settings seem to be
the same.

Thanks.

Tom

Subject: [BPCS-L] ORD720 Auto-Allocate

One of our facilities/warehouses has a problem over the last
few days whereby the F9 key (Auto-allocate) within ORD720
(Allocations) isn't working. But we know there are sufficient
stocks and they can manually allocate the parts, but not
auto-allocate them. Our other facilities/warehouses are not
affected. I don't know what has changed in the last few days.
Any ideas what I should check ? I can't see anything wrong
with the Facility Master File record or the warehouse Master
File record. Any help gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.
