How to get planning start date

Hello,
   
  I need to know how to get the planning start date for MRP Item in order to 
calculate demand fence date. I understand that demand fence date in MRP300 
screen is calculated as follows:
  Demand fence date = Planning start date + Demand fence days/periods
   
  Your help is appreciated.
