To change a part number on a BPCS Purchase Order using PUR500 in maintenance mode (2-Revise), if your PO status is 1 (new PO, not received and not costed) you must delete (action code 4 in the ACT field next to the line number to be changed) the incorrect item number and create a new line with the correct item number. If you receive a message that you can not delete because processing has occurred (order status 1, at least one item received or costed) , you must zero out the quantity on the line (or change it to the remaining quantity if receipts have occurred) and use Action code 16 to close the line. You then add a new line with the correct item number. If the PO status is 2 or 3 (fully received, or fully received and fully costed) create a new PO. I hope this helps. Frederick C.
