Good morning, Dan The first thing to determine is what are you trying to measure and do you have accurate data. We compared PO receipt date of a specific Lot# to first shop order issue of that lot to measure how "early" the material was arriving. We do not report actual labor data for every operation, but we do post to "critical" workcenters / operation. So we compare shop order release date to first critical operation actual FLT date. Then we compare that 1st op FLT date to the next critical op FLT date etc etc. Then you can see, for example, that it takes 4 days to get thru 1st op and 7 days thru 2nd op and 1 day to finish. We started with a series of queries with output to a file and then export to excell where the local excell guru did the date math. If you have a good RPGLE programmer available, it is not too difficult to skip the excell piece.
