Which is why they look at individual workstations and not our ZSC file.

Not so crazy, because many users would share the same user ID and pwd to
avoid paying licenses. I can understand SSA's standpoint on this one.

I've also been told by SSA that IP addresses are taken into consideration,
i.e. if a user is logged into more than one computer - each unique
user/ip address is counted as one use. Crazy, huh!!!

We are going thru the same thing. You really need to look at your contract
with SSA and have them define. I have seen many different descriptions for
the word concurrent. My current clients contract is defined as # of
different active workstations in BPCS at any given time, regardless of how
many records exist in the ZSC file. Here is a reply from SSA defining
concurrent for us:

"Before counting users, we first look to the license definitions in the
contracts between you and SSA. Your last Schedule A dated XX-XX-XX says
150
Concurrent Users where "the stated quantity indicates the maximum number
of
... Concurrent Users (i.e., number of individual users who are
simultaneously logged on to any or all of the Software at any point in
time
irrespective as to whether or not such user is actually using related
Software resources)."

Normally, we interpret this to mean that a concurrent user is an
individual
user ID logged onto the licensed software from an individual workstation.

· Multiple sessions initiated from the same workstation by the same
user normally count as one user

· Multiple sessions initiated from the same workstation by
different
users always count as more than one user.

· Sessions initiated from multiple workstations by the same user
always count as more than one user.

We count only the users who are accessing the SSA software."

Hope this helps

Does somebody know what exactly means "concurret users" to SSA?

1) Are the user who could acces BPCS (profiles in ZSC)?
2) Are the users who acces BPCS at the same time?

I have read the Archives but it´s not clear to me.

Thanks in advance.
Fernando
