The days on hand figure is a very handy one indeed, wether it is based on past history or on forecast , or on open orders. In all cases, BPCS has no native report that does this calculation. It has to be programmed. The calculation, if it is based on history, will be dependent of what type of usage in ITH you wish to include. EG; transaction codes B, M, MI, A, etc. Daniel Warthold P. eng CPIM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe McCormick" <joemccormick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "SSA's BPCS ERP System" <bpcs-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 10:18 AM Subject: [BPCS-L] Days of cover based on historical usage Hi, How can I tell how many days of cover I have for an item (parent or component) based on historical usage. Eg if I have 10 of item x on hand and 4 were issued to shop orders in the last 50 days then based on historical usage I have 125 days of cover. Our forecasting is poor so I need to look at history before committing to buy stock. I would prefer to dump into excel so that I can sort by days of cover.
