We are on 8.1 CS and are thinking to switch on ERP LX 8.3. with WEBinterface.

We found that keeping all clients on the same BPCS CS level on their PC's(about 100) occupied IT stuff too much.Add also for every BPCS user add-ons we prepared for them connecting BPCSDB on iSeries.PC's with OS from WIN 98 to XP, 2003. Upgrading, disk failures, new PC's,virus's, users installing something on their own knowing to much and at thesame time not enough.

After two years experience with CS we now prefers centralizing everything oniSeries and WEB Top on PC server.

As a side note you should look at the new version ERPlx.  The new
interface is much better and works well.  The system requirements are
that you have to have Websphere on your AS/400 or a windows based
server.  I recommend that approach.

I would say 90% of the BPCS installs are green screen.  In 8.2 all of
CEA accept for FRW is green screen.

Clients are still finding the full client server implementations to be
not well suited for data entry.  Especially in Order processing.

I'm curious which form companies on 8+ are using.  IT would rather
everyone went to green screen, but our accounting department prefers the
