Hi,

That's a strange thing indeed.

Can you check if the "Enhanced SQL cursor control . . . . . . . . Y Y N" set
to "Y"?

Regards,
Manuel Antunes

| Assunto: [BPCS-L] AS/SET SQL code problem
| Hi all,
| I have been working on AS/SET=DK for past year. we
| have been
| writing programs in rpg using ADK. curentl= i am facing a
| problem with
| one such program.
| We had written this program c=uple of months ago
| when it was
| tested and kept in development region (it w=s not into
| production for
| some reasons). Now we want to get this program i=to
| production . however
| when we again tested the same program we foun= that it was
| not giving
| correct results. The program has embedded SQL in i=. when
| we debugged
| the program we found that one particluar SQL was not
| se=ecting correct
| number of records though all the parameter in where clause
| =here having
| correct values. We have tried several things after that
| like w= hard
| coded the where clause parameter, included the required
| data model a gain, we even re-wrote the SQL part but still
| it was not working. More ever to our suprise the same SQL
| was running fine when we tried it thr ough STRSQL. Also we
| did write another plain RPG (not ADK) program and another
| ADK program in both of these program's the result given by&nb
| sp;the SQL is correct. we are now confused about what the
| problems is =s
| the same SQL is running fine outside that program.
| We are now currently thinking=n terms of
| re-writing the code but
| however i feel this is not t=e corrcet way to slove the
| issue. I would
| like to have some ins=ght on this so that i can have some
| solution for
| this. It would =e helpful for us if at all we face such
| problem again in
| furture. </P=
| Thanking you in advance.
| Regards
