Wendy,

If you know ahead of time why do you confirm the order? Unless only
part of the shipment is void then you have to execute the steps you
outlined.

If the whole shipment is void then do not confirm the order, instead
just delete the order from the system.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Voiding a shipment

How does your company void a B transaction?

Our shipping dept doesn't like the GUI side of Bpcs and usually uses
just the green screen for pick-ship-confirm.

Currently if they send us a packlist they say is void for whatever
reason -- currently we have to bill the shipment, enter another order to
credit the customer and put inventory back on hand, then have customer
service/planning add a line to the order to replace the "shipped" line.

Is there another way? 6.1.02 -- going to 8.2 this fall

subject: [BPCS-L] Problem in Load Control Center module

Hi all,

We are on BCPS 6.1

One of our users generated a Pick Confirm process on an order,

Then he tried to generate a ship confirm for the same order using "Load
Control Center" module, (he assigned an order to a Load)

Finally he pressed "Un/Remove" in the "Load Detail" screen from Session
Manager (screen where we see all the orders assigned to a specific Load)

By doing this we can't no longer make the ship confirm, since the load
was
deleted, and we can not assign the order to another load (the order is
not
shown anywhere)

I queried LLL, LLX and LLH and the load is not there.

What can I do to restore the Load-Customer Order and be able to do the
ship
confirm?

Thank you in advance,

- Gabby

You won't get the load restored and yes it was deleted. I would think
that
you can still assign the order to a load if it was not already
confirmed. If
the status is still 00100, then you should be able to pull the order up
and
assign it to a load. Just keep in mind that the load is different than
the
order. The system may require you to just dispatch the order which will

automatically assign the load number. I have not come across this and I
would feel
confident that one of the two steps above will dispatch the load.

Please contact me offline if you would like to discuss this further.
