We also use SEQUEL from Advanced Systems Concepts to email and download
reports. It is an extremely valuable tool to our small staff. I have
replaced almost all the standard BPCS reports with custom SEQUEL reports
that can be printed, emailed, or saved in several formats including xls,
dbf, rtf, txt,, and htm.

RE: [BPCS-L] Printing to a File

Hi Wendy,

We've been using SEQUEL to download and email reports for many years... If
you don't have SEQUEL, you could use Client Access 'Data Transfer from
iSeries' (.tto files) to Excel or to a Tab Delimited file.
Here is an IBM site that may help:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas11f969ff9547fdb8f86256e7c00679338

I bought an inexpensive MC book 'The OS/400 and Microsoft Office 2000
Integration Handbook' a couple years ago; it really helped us get started
w/ a lot of back and forth communication between Microsoft products and
the iSeries (BPCS). I'm sure there are similar and more up-to-date books
on the market now... Good luck.

Is it possible for the user to print a report, such as the Account
Receivable aging, to a file for import into excel? Isn't this something
fairly simple on an AS400 environment, BPCS version 6.1.2? We have a
request from our auditors for many of our monthly std reports to be in an
excel format for them to test.
