There are several methods for downloading a spooled file to Windows, and then into an Excel spreadsheet. I have implemented a package at several clients called Winspool that gives users a GUI and one-click downloading into several formats, including excel and word. It has a product bundled with it that allows formatting changes to be saved and reused. A company called RJS Software produces this.
