Suggest you check the archives for past discussions that come up about Manuals available for BPCS.

From your expressed interests I think you need to get the BPCS Reference manual that explains what all the fields and programs are for, and the BPCS Engineering manual that gives real world examples of how to use all that stuff, and how the different fields interplay with each other. We used to have the latter, which I passed to our people to use as reference, but they lost it. That is a problem at any company ... balancing between protecting the documentation, and letting people use it and abuse it.

Have you looked at the on-line help that outlines what each program does?
You know, call up the program, to just get to the prompt screen, then use F1 universal help command then F2 to expand on that then F14 to print it out.

Have you explored the Engineering applications "documents" available from menu DOC?
You know, the source members in file BPCSDOC that start with the prefix SSARUN with one for each application area, but for engineering you will need to look at both the MBM one and the SFC one. I find that there is a wealth of information there, although some of it is duplicated more than I am comfortable with.

You might also ask your company's tech support place what kind of documentation they can supply you on these programs.
