Sigit, I worked with a number of clients, who migrated from CICS to RISC in the Past. There are a few programs that will not convert to RISC, primarily System Security, license validation. You will not have source code for those. On top of it your license key is for different machine. Your company needs to review an agreement with SSA and talk to SSA rep to see what the costs of upgrade might be. I strongly suggest not to try to obtain missing programs from elsewhere unless your company has other sites running those releases, otherwise the cost of lawsuits and penalty may end up being much greater than the cost of OGS. If your are using BIR for reporting, it absolutely will not work on RISC box and you will need to find alternative. Regards, Yan Shargorodsky Y&Y Solutions Inc. To move our system from old CISC AS400 machine to RISC AS400 machine, can I backup all our BPCS library on old machine and then restore it to new machine ? Or we must install BPCS 405CD for RISC sistem ? If we don't have OGS maintenance, how about the licence expense ? Thank You for your attention and information Sigit Jakarta-Indonesia _______________________________________________ This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list To post a message email: BPCS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/bpcs-l or email: BPCS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l.
