Danny, Yes, you will need to test the client PC. It would be best if your organization has defined a standard platform that is a corporate standard. If not, you will need to document what a "typical" workstation would/should look like and test on one of those. Remember that the point of validation is to consider the entire environment "holistically" within which the application must operate as planned/documented. So, you can't leave out the client. If there is much variance between client machines, then document how you will handle this in case "performance" issues pop up. That is, you may need a written procedure which may simply show what you currently do anyway.
