There was a Y2K issue that I seem to remember was fix in January of 2000. I think that it was still using a 6-digit date and a date like 12/25/99 was greater than 01/01/00 so it got rid of the 01/01/00 and kept the 1999 version. Hopefully by now you wouldn't need to go back that far even if you didn't have the fix. I think that they kept the 6-digit date but added a century flag to make the sort work. You might want to keep that in mind for Y3K. The only gotha I can remember is that you can't retain more than 10 versions; there may have been also a y2k issue. Make sure you have a good backup and go for it. We run it weekly. I just cut it down to only keep 2 versions; any more don't make sense. One of the other things that happened to us is that we move diagrams from set to set. Once you move an action diagram, the archived version never goes away. I go in once or twice a year and manually clean these up. We feel the need here to do some AS/Set cleanup. As far as I can tell, it's never happened. We plan to use the package re-org programs. Do you have any experiences or gotchas to share that might help? We operate on an AS/400 at v5r1and our AS/Set version is 6.0.04.
