Another possibility is that the routing has not been set up for this item
being produced. Use SFC650 to get to shop order, then action 13 to view
routing. If there is no routing showing on this screen, then the shop order
was created before the routing was assigned. You can use action 1 to add
the needed operations to the shop order.

If this turns out to be the case, then be sure to go into SFC100 to assign
the routing before more shop orders are created for this item.

You can only report production on an operation that has "Collect Data this
Operation" set to 1 on the routing. It's on the 2nd screen of routing
maintenance. Any operation that is lower than that one with "Collect Data
this Operation" set to 0 will be backflushed, down to the next operation
that has "Collect Data this Operation" set to 1.

For example,
You might have operation 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. Only
operations 10 and 20 have Collect Data this Operation set to 1. When you
report production on op 10, you will backflush ops 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. When
you report production on op 20, you will backflush ops 15, 16, 17, 18, and
19.

Hope this helps,

Richard
