On the client PC, go to ODBC Data Source Administrator and highlight the ODBC 
driver for Client Access. Press Configure.

In Client Access Express ODBC setup, select the Server tab. There are radio 
buttons for Connection type that include a choice of:

Read/Write (all SQL statements allowed)
Read/Call (Select and Call statements allowed)
Read-Only (Select statements only)
