Version 4.05 A slightly different approach than what some others have suggested ... Our reasoning for needing to designate MTO for certain product lines was that a customer was required to order by production lot size, so we didn't get stuck with "leftovers". We used the "Item Status/Condition" flag, and set up codes that said things like "Minimum Order Size 50" ... this gave our customer service people the information as the order was entered as to what quantity the customer must order. It is important to us, especially in planning, to understand when an item is one or the other. We can't seem to find a good way in the item master or the facility master to designate this information about the item. What approaches have others taken?
