Most of these customers are much like the BPCS
customer in that they will stick with the iSeries and
not bother with new technology.

I not want to get in an arguement here, just point out that customers who
stick with the iSeries do get new technology from IBM - there is a constant
stream of new capabilities from a box that has a lot more stability and
security and scalability than the competition.
