Hello All,

Does anyone know what kind of a customer order (type/class) we can enter
in BPCS, to pull inventory from a stocked warehouse for customer orders?
Or is there another way?

We need to print a pack slip to put in the box with the material
and then invoice the customer. We do not need a shop order
since the material is already made and sitting on the shelf.

Currently, we are creating a regular customer order. This produces
our pack slip by running the Pick Release program. Then users
will delete the associated shop order. The item masters are setup
to create shop orders.

Once inventory for an item is depleted, or falls below min. balance,
our plant mgr. would like the system to create a shop order to
replenish stock. This sounds like we may need to start using/
setting up, some manufacturing programs. Currently we are not
using MRP or MPS even though we have the modules installed.

We are running BPCS 6.01.01 Mixed Mode, AS/400. We do not have
these BPCS modules installed: ARP, CDM, CSH, FOR, FXA,
JIT, LMS, MFS, OLM (from the SYS821D-01 display).

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Sandy Sever
