Hi,

There is one more option. In menu SYS03 there is the SYS603 program
(Security group maintenance). If you go in, you see the default SSA user
group. You can copy it, and make a new group, let's call it CEA. Now, with
option 11 you can see the details by modules. Position yourself to the CEA
programs. Now you will see the program options for differenc CEA programs ,
like add, delete, copy, etc. You can swithc on and off these funcitons.
When you did it, You can go to SYS600, and assign the BPCS user to the
appropriate group (like group CEA).

Now, if you go to CEA with the user profile, the allowed functions will be
active, the restricted functions will be gray (not accessable).

(In the same way you can group your users in other areas, too. The only
limitation is, that you can't add new programs in SYS603).

I hope it helped.

Drago

Hi

I am in BPCS 6.04 MM, currently all my users of CEF(CEA) have authorization
for all options of Setup:Currency, Segment,Chart, Period Table, etc.

I want to restrict the acces to some users of CEF(CEA) to SETUP.

How I restrict the access a this users?

If I have that to use the SYS600 program, What product or program names I
will to use for to restrict?

Thank you and regards.

Hello,

Step 1:
You can find the program names on the local directory
of any pc which has CEF installed. Path is as follow:
c:\ Program file\ bpcscs\cea.
In this directory you can find all programs like for
currency maintenance program name is CEAGCC.
step 2:
On As400 , go to Sys600 program and restrict authority
on CEAGCC.

regards
