we're on 6.1.01 AS400

WRKACTJOB to work with the job that's running/looping
then 14  Display open files,
F11=Display I/O details
roll through the files to get the rcd #'s
f5 and roll through the files again and check to see if
rcd #'s are changing, often one set of files will just loop
back and forth between 2 record numbers, that's your culprit.
Look for a +++++ in the I/O Count column this is another way to
find the culprit.
We often have a problem with the seq # in the ESN file -
order notes. Depending on what you're running - orders in, invoices out,
pick tickets -
your loop could be a different file every time.
We change the seq # value while the job is still running and there's usually
no errors or lost data afterwards!

Subject: ECM = File Listing

ECM Hangs when there are Duplicate File Entries...

Is there anyone out there that knows of a List of Files to check in such an
event?
