i don't know ECM, but i do know that many other BPCS program hang (or go into a loop) when they process files that have records with duplicate keys. and this is irrespective of the record status (logical deletes). we have written a series of queries that extract the record keys and count the number of occurrences of each key. we then list any key that has more than one occurrence and we then fix the file. i know that the biggest offender that we have is the ECL file in order entry, MBM bill of material file, FRT routing operations, and MPN notes. also the FOD shop order operation file will cause shop order release to fail if there are multiple records with the same key. chick doe barton instrument systems >>> Rick.Briggs@corona.bellota.com 06/05/02 02:15PM >>> ECM Hangs when there are Duplicate File Entries... Is there anyone out there that knows of a List of Files to check in such an event?
