Rick - We're 405 CD mix mode AS400 with approx 600,000 records in our CMF. I don't know how different V6 is but in V4 there are some bugs that generate garbage records into CMF, mainly actual cost almost duplications with no facility (I think it is coming from CST900) ... I regularly clean out the garbage, which comes to about 5% of file size per month. The first time I discovered this, we had monstrous volume of excess to get rid of. I also have software to fix the buckets that don't add up right & have found that running a regular SYS120 from SYS/23/12 (V4 needs extremely restricted access until it gets done) does wonders for speed of access of several BPCS tasks. We rarely use simulated costs & a co-worker was asking if there's an easy way to get rid of them ... the thought was why clutter up our data base & screens with stuff we not using.
