Dear Rick, I guess the first thing that comes to mind about migrating all the way from v2.x is this: If your company has an interest in retaining a supplier to help you make this decision or to help you perform the migration, make sure that the supplier has a breadth of experience that goes all the way back to version 2.x.. It would be very expensive to hire someone and then finance his/her education on net changes all the way from version 2. Here at Unbeaten Path we've had a single-mined focus on helping BPCS users for almost 11 years now and some professional profiles on our web site testify to rich, uninterrupted BPCS experience all the way back to the nascent System 36 days of the BPCS product. We continue to focus on helping BPCS users get the best value out of the software as illustrated by this web page: http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/Tarnish_off_BPCS.pdf With respect to comparing one EDI-enabling solution to another ... our view is that the entire variety of EDI packages will eventually be seen as a less compelling approach than direct, box-to-box XML communication. LANSA's new Integrator product is a very nifty, affordable, and maintainable box-to-box communication answer. We are a 1st Tier Solutions Partner for LANSA software specializing on BPCS applications. We'd love to talk with you about it.
