We are 6.0.04 MM on an AS400 and use the multi currency product. We only do Canada and we impress the rate yearly (but the system will handle more frequent reviews). Once you create the currency and the bank ; put in the currency on the customer master for those accounts impacted. The gains/and losses we're handled manually; however, the A/R system does have some functionality here. In fact the only problem we had was when we changed the exchange rate and started getting a mix of exchange rates we had to account for this in our balancing procedures for AR. -----Original Message----- From: Christine Roman [mailto:ChristineR@SCC-INC.com] Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2002 4:29 PM To: 'bpcs-l@midrange.com' Subject: multi currency Hi everyone! We are 6.1.01 MM on an AS400, and are investigating the Multi Currency product, and are hoping for some feedback from the list. We are interested in hearing experiences about implementation, especially after running without the multi currency feature. Has anyone updated their customer masters to a new default currency, or did you need to create a new customer master? How did this effect user processing, such as account review and inquiry, aging? How often are you updating the exchange rates? Thanks in advance! _______________________________________________ This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list To post a message email: BPCS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/bpcs-l or email: BPCS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l.
