In AS400 MM BPCS 405 CD
FSO.SSTAT can have 3 values
E = Shop Order still open for input
Y = Shop Order completed or closed for purge
X = Shop Order deleted or canceled

The X gets there by someone going into Shop Order maintenance & taking an
option.
The Y can get there by the same mechanism, OR
If labor reporting by SFC6* or JIT6* claims last operation completed, then in
addition to that "Y" in FOD completion status, this also makes the Shop Order
Y completed, irrespective of whether all inventory has been consumed,
completed, or the operation really made the quantity desired by the
operation, OR
If labor reporting by SFC6* or JIT6* on the last operation is for the
quantity ordered, or more than that quantity, then this creates the "Y" in
FOD completion status (this is true for any operation) and also makes the
Shop Order Y completed for all of the order, again irrespective of whether
the order really is completed.

We have had instances of labor misreporting saying last operation is
completed when it really is not completed.

Now when we do shop order purge CST900, there are a number of shop orders out
there still coded with FSO.SSTAT = "Y" after the purge got done & invariably
these are due to there not being enough transactions posted to the order via
ITH to meet the order completion criteria.
