I agree! A colleague and I went to the SSA Global Client Forum in FL at the
end of September and were very pleased with what we heard regarding the new
management of SSA and the direction of BPCS. I have some PowerPoint
presentations I'll be glad to forward to anyone that wishes to contact me.

In answer to your question, "Is BPCS Dead?"; my response is that BPCS is not
dead at all. All Gores along with a few others did was restructure the
organization to make it profitable. Now as the purchaser/recommender of an
ERP package, that should be one of the determining factors. The company is
focused, they have vision, and to the best of my knowledge they are quite
approachable about this subject.

I hope it helps!

Subject: The Future of BPCS

It's been nearly a year since BPCS (SSA) was gobbled up by Gores
(GTG). Having left the ERP market last year, I now am returning
to do evals of ERP packages for our small to medium size clients
in the manufacturing space. Some of our clients (construction
supply companies) have heard that BPCS is "dead".... Any truth
to that? Can they expect full support for the BPCS product should
they go down that route?

Cheers,
