I have upgrade several customers running 6.00.02, 6.00.04, 6.1, and
6.1.01 to V4R5.  I agree with the other responses, to insure you have
the HIPERS, DB, save/restore group PTFs and the current cumulative. 
Remember to review the document at www.as400service.ibm.com for
defective PTFs.

If you are doing journaling, and run SQL inside an RPG program, that you
check on the compile of the program.  The compile of this type of
program may use commit control of *DFTACTGRP.  If your programs have
this, then you will need to insure that you do and end commit at the
end, or change the program to *NONE instead of *DFTACTGRP.
