If you have Client Access this is simple ... you can cut & paste from any 
AS/400 file or source code or report to any PC document ... provided your 
security gives you access to what it is you want to cut & paste from.  
Depending on what your PC software can handle, it can still be a bit tedious.

If you do not have IBM Client Access - there are scores of vendors offering 
alternatives that are also easier to operate than CA when it comes to the 
stuff that CA not handle well, such as converting 400 nuances to PC nuances - 
check out midrange_L archives for tons of discussions regarding same, or 
visit one of the on-line general 400 forums.

There was an earlier thread here where someone was moving BPCS help text to 
Word then running it through some language translation PC product, and having 
some person who knows BPCS & the target language cleaning up the results, 
then moving it back to BPCS under another name ... you might check the 
archives

Remember that midrange dot com recently having ISP troubles, so access may be 
slow.

We are 405 CD - where stuff is stored might not be same all versions.
Some versions come with less overall source code than others.
BPCS DOC stored in file called BPCSDOC - use WRKOBJ to determine which 
library - ours is in the main library for BPCS software objects - it can be 
accessed using PDM SEU
BPCS HELP source stored in file called QPNLSRC - use WRKOBJ to find library - 
ours is in the main library for base BPCS source code

Warnings - depending on what you want to DO with the stuff on PC
QPNLSRC is written in UIM - if you want to translate then copy back, you need 
to keep the UIM code intact
This stuff is stored in massive number of members in one file ... can your PC 
product handle multiple members in one file & is screen width good?
For example, you do not want to be moving it to standard Word documents then 
adjusting screen width on every member, rather you want to create a Word 
templatein advance that is the right width to accept the data.
