RE: BOM Reorg

Hi Ho   

        Moving south. My pool just caved in because of all of the snow. My
new next door neighbour is a Polar Bear. The farmer close to my house just
sold his chicken farm and is now contemplating a penguin farm venture.

Any hoot.
        Looks fine to me Terri. I would worry about the before sequence
numbers though. Your not going to tell me the system generated those
numbers. Make sure no one is on that environment when running BOM900. You
may think no one is on. Here is a sure way of finding out.

        From a command line:

1.      WRKOBJLCK       then F4
2.      (OBJECT)...................Enter data file library BPCSXXXF
        (LIBRARY)..................Enter QSYS
        (OBJECT TYPE)..........Enter *LIB

This will tell you if someone is still on. Your disappearing or hosed
numbers maybe caused by expiration dates for items in BOM's. If you do not
wish to delete any child components in BOM's enter in date parm when using
BOM900 (010175) or January 01, 1975. 

VERY IMPORTANT: Go to SYS800. Then choose SYS820 (Company name and date
format). You need to enter date in BOM900 as per date format shown in
SYS820D
