The ship to master has a tax code this code then ties back to the TAX Rate files. We started out using the ZIP Code as a TAX Code. This works most of the time. The problem is when the same ZIP code repersents multi rates. The rate can differ base on the county or if the address is in or out of the city limits. How have you kept this corect? We also subscribe to a Tax service that sends monthly updates for tax rates. We run an interface program that updates BPSC Tax rate file. They said the 9 didget zip code could tell the county and city limits. This would give us the correct rate. The problem is the tax code is only 5 long. Looking for some advice and tools to get the correct tax rate charged on the invoices the first time. Resulting in happier customers and A/R and Tax filing departments. Thanks for your help.
