Well I do not know V5 but at 405 CD you can run any BPCS program from a BPCS
user menu, just be sure you use the right naming convention ... for example
upper right corner key in INV300C ... people who not know naming conventions
might transcribe RPG name off of vanilla menu.

And it has to be a BPCS program, consistent with BPCS security naming ... we
have Query/400 reports & inquiries off of BPCS data base & you cannot do a
runqry or other IBM command line type function from the "Call a BPCS program
directly" but there are ways to fake that out.

Also many programs at 405 CD have got a standard of a little plus sign after
the field where you key in something & that symbol means that field is
supported by F4 ... put cursor on the field & do F4 & you get a pop-up panel
that lists all the stuff that can go in that field & you can select, scroll
whatever you need.

A lot of 405 CD obviously came from AS/Set & a lot of it obviously came
directly from human programmers.

5.1 from SSA was never Y2K compliant, but good 3rd party places can make
anything Y2K compliant.

SSA only had Y2K compliance provided for V6 & 405 CD.
