What version of BPCS are you on? We're running live on 6.0.2 and in the
process of upgrading to 6.1.01. We use OLM and have full truck loads, as
well as, smaller shipments to UPS and RPS.

Most of our pick confirm and ship confirm is processed the day it goes out
the door for the large orders. Often for the UPS, what we call "small
pack", pick confirmed and ship confirmed is done the day AFTER it goes out
the door. UPS has their own tracking label that our warehouse guy slaps on
the carton, so, the OLM paper work is not needed. he then sends the
picking ticket with lot, location, and shipped quantity into the office for
the clerks to enter.

It helps to pick confirm and ship confirm the actual day of shipment for
populating fields such as dispatch date and billing. In general, one
customer and one location is one load. But for small pack (UPS) we will put
10-20 orders on one load. Then each individual order is pick confirmed,
then the whole load is dispatched by warehouse clerks.

Looking for information on OLM and processing of small shipments such as UPS
and
FEDEX.
Specifically what procedures are in place. For example, who and when are
Pick
Confirms and Ship Confirms done. We may have up to 300 shipments per day
most
coming in between 2 and 6 and don't want the system to hold up things up.
Any info would be helpful.

Thanks.
