Rick,
The GJR file contains the next reference number for journalsource codes. Look
at the field JRJNNO.
Hope this helps,
Sonny Kim

Actually, I'm familiar with these file but the question is where the next
accumulated number resides for the field LAJNEW in GLH. This field appears
to get bumped by one each time a new journal entry is posted. Where is the
last number used kept. There's got to be a data area or file that controls
this. thanks

Hi Rick,
I think the files of interest would be GHH (Journal Entry Header file), GLH
(Journal Entry Detail file), GLA (Journal Entry Analysis file), GNH
(Journal Entry Notes file), GSB (General Ledger Summary Balance file), and
GXR (Journal Entry Subsystem Cross Reference file)
I hope this helps.

I'm looking for the file or data area that this number is kept in. Since
it indexes for each entry, I'm sure there's a next available or last number
used holding area somewhere in the system.
thanks
